What the site collects
Nothing you type into a calculator. The figures you enter are used in your browser to show a result and are not sent to us. Your browser keeps them locally so they carry across pages (see Cookies, below).
Basic usage statistics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It sets cookies and records an anonymised IP address, the pages you view and the device and browser you use. We do not connect this to anything you type into a calculator.
Emails you send us. If you write to caymanmortgagecalculator@gmail.com we keep the email to reply to it. We don’t add you to any list.
What the site does not do
- Sell, rent or share any information with lenders, agents or advertisers.
- Ask for your email to show a result.
- Track you across other websites.
- Store the property details you look up.
Cookies
The only cookies are those set by Google Analytics; you can block them in your browser without affecting the calculators. Separately, the site keeps your calculator inputs (price, deposit, rate, term, currency) and your compare selection in your browser's local storage so you don't have to retype them. That data never leaves your device; clearing your browser data removes it.
Links to other sites
Listings link to the agent’s own website, and guides link to Government documents. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don’t control.
Your rights
You can ask what, if anything, we hold about you and ask for it to be deleted by emailing caymanmortgagecalculator@gmail.com. The Cayman Islands Data Protection Act applies; the Ombudsman is the supervisory authority.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
